Super Eagles Coach, Stephen Keshi, has stated that he is not happy with the decision of the duo of Victor Moses and Kalu Uche to pull out of the Super Eagles squad currently preparing for the busy schedule ahead of the national team.
In a message to Keshi on Monday, Turkey based Kalu Uche claimed to have been playing with an injury for some time now in the Turkish League, and on the advice of his doctor, will be using the opportunity of the off-season to undergo treatment.
On his part, Chelsea FC ace, Victor Moses, who was one of the best players of the Africa Cup of Nations finals in South Africa, is said to be dropping out in order to treat a recurring injury. Moses said he will not be fit in time for the World Cup qualifiers and the ‘Festival of Champions’.
His club, however, said he will be with the Chelsea squad at their pre-season tour of USA to be monitored by closely by doctors, but would not participate in the tour.
While Keshi stated that he cannot force the affected players to adorn the national colours, he is unhappy that he was not informed of the development earlier.
The Super Eagles Coach did not state if he will bring in late replacement for the duo. He, however, maintained that the players left at his disposal can deliver good results for the country,
“We have the players to deliver the World Cup ticket, and to make Nigerians proud in Brazil,” Keshi said.
