ACN chieftains blast Tinubu over romance with Amaechi

The Rivers State chapter of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN has criticised its national leader and former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, over his meeting with Governor Rotimi Amechi without recourse to the state executive members even as it sets up a two-man delegation to meet with the national officers of the party over their varying positions on the romance with the Rivers State governor.

A statement signed by ACN Publicity Secretary in the state, Jerry Needam, said a two-man committee comprising the state leader of the party, Dr Abiye Sekibo and Kenneth Kobani, the national treasurer, who is from the state, has been mandated to communicate its stands to the national party leader.

According to the statement, this is sequel to the state executive meeting of Sunday, May 2, 2013 which centered on the unilateral resolve by the ACN national leaders to identify with and work for the interest of Governor Amaechi, who it alleged “is entrapped in an intractable Peoples Democratic party, PDP, crisis that tends to consign him into political irrelevance.”

The party made some allegations against the state governor, who it said took many anti-democratic actions against its members.
“The state chapter of the party is aggrieved that Governor Amaechi, who has left no stone unturned in marginalising the opposition in the state, notably the ACN and that had unleashed all manners of persecution against the party and its members, including its state leader, Dr Abiye Sekibo, during and after the April 26, 2011 general elections, could easily warm himself into the party without the knowledge of the state chapter of the party.”

The statement also flayed the party’s national leader for his alleged disrespect insensitivity to the state leaders of the party in a meeting he had with them recently.

Woman raped in police cell sues for N750 million damages

A police inspector, a policeman and a station guard were all demoted recently after a woman was raped in the cell she was kept with two other men at the Abraka police station in Benin.

11 Police officers were caught up in the rape saga from Zone 5 Police Command in Benin. The inspector, Erebi Akporunor, was demoted to the rank of Sergeant and the two men who were said to have raped Esse Ozegbe are now standing trial at a magistrate’s court in Abraka.

According to reports, Ozegbe was arrested on February 26, 2013, following a quarrel with a neighbour, was said to have been detained along with some men at the Abraka Police station, Delta State, where two of them were said to have raped her in turns, while the policemen allegedly turned a deaf ear to her cries for help.

She is now suing for N750 million damages against the Nigeria Police and a hearing was fixed for June 13.

I’m Lonely Kenny Saint Brown Confesses

Ever since the separation from her hubby, Eddy Remedy, years back, Kehinde Ogungbe popularly called KSB has finally confessed that she is a loner and that whenever she needs to cry, she cries alone since there is no one to cry on.

ksbcry

Hear her, “I am a loner, I cry alone, and when I cry, I don’t shout to the world to let them know about it. Rather, I go out to seek laughter. Most times, the person I go to is my elder sister, Moji Dokpesi. I would have called her to let her know that I am depressed.

She would laugh and urge me to come over. Being a woman with a large heart, she would definitely dwarf my depression, and whatever it is that took me to her would become so insignificant that I’ll leave her place smiling.”

Well, the issue between Saint Kenny and her husband, Eddy Remedy, might be a serious one but from the look of things, Kehinde, probably, may not want to go back into that marriage again.

Though, she has stated on a number of occasions that she is only separated from her hubby not divorced.

Though, it was gathered that Eddy Remedy has tried to crawl back into her heart, KSB, according to a family source, is not ready to welcome him back into her life.

Nollywood Celebrities Failed Marriages Overview

e48999ad31e70f7915f2d2622ab14ffc

In some parts of the world, African movies reign, spearheaded by Nigerian powerhouse Nollywood, and the actors are demi-gods. With their repertoire of popular movies, they have undoubtedly mended cracks in the union of some viewers, but then, many of their own marriages have been characterised by heartbreaks, separations and divorces.

They have made their way into the hearts of millions of people, who dream to be like them. But either at home or abroad, there is one thing none of their fans will pray for —failed marriages and heartbreaks.

This development seems to be more rampant among the movie stars. While some of them have remained eligible spinsters/bachelors, those that managed to walk down the aisle barely sustain the momentum. The list of movie stars with failed marriages is endless, and with the recent decision of actress Laide Bakare to walk out of her marriage to Mr. Okunfulire, the last has not been heard.
Laide Bakare, after about three years of denying that there are cracks in her matrimonial home, has eventually walked out of her marriage. In the early hours of 3 May, she officially announced through her publicist, Folorunsho Hamsat, that her marriage has hit the rocks.

Laide Bakare: Opted out of her marriage
The official statement from her publicist reads thus: “We would like to announce to the general public on behalf of Nollywood star actress, Laide Bakare, that she has officially opted out of her relationship with Mr. Okunfulire, her former husband.
“While it lasted, the actress showed the utmost level of maturity, in spite of the ‘glaring injustice’ from her former husband. Laide has endured the marriage with Mr. Okunfulire for whom she displayed total affection. But things fell apart when she discovered that she was indeed married to a man with a legally married wife and two children not a single man she thought he was as told her by Mr. Okunfulire when the relationship started.

“But, being a celebrity who has become a model to young persons in the society, coupled with the need to exercise decorum, she has kept fate with the marriage until lately when she could no longer continue and then called it quits. Her former union with Mr. Okunfulire produced a beautiful child, Similoluwa who is nicknamed Chelsea.”

The Yoruba actress also announced that she has moved on by settling down with another man, Mr. Tunde Oriowo. She claimed that her relationship with the latter began late last year, a development that has been criticised.

Barely a week after this announcement, Mr. Okunfulire, who is based abroad, opened a can of worms in an interview with a soft-sell magazine. He claimed that Laide is still his wife, though there have been cracks in their marriage because “she sleeps around.” Okunfulire added that he only learnt of his wife’s statement on the purported breakup on social media.
Laide Bakare’s sordid tale is just one of the numerous heartbreaks and marriage break-up scandals in the movie industry.

Many female entertainers in Nigeria are victims of this. It is either they have a broken marriage or don’t even have one at all. Some of them have blamed it on the society. They claimed that most Nigerian men have low self esteem, and cannot differentiate between their woman’s real character and make-belief. They argued further that an average Nigerian man will not be comfortable with his wife, fiancĂ©e or girlfriend, as the case may be, being smooched by another man in a movie.

They also blamed the media. The media, according to actress Benita Nzeribe, has broken many celebrity relationships with their sensational gossips. “No mother would read such scandalous stories and still allow her son to marry such lady. The media is not helping matters. The most painful aspect of it is that most of the things they write about us are not true.”

But Asiwaju Benson Akindeju, the producer of television dramas –Family Ties, Face-2-Face and Nowhere To Be Found, opined that the female entertainers, actresses in particular, should work more on their personality, rather than blame the society or media for their inability to get married.
Akindeju said the problem is more complex than what most people can imagine. “I think the problem starts with their inability to manage stardom. They could be humble at the initial stage of their career, but the moment fame comes, they tend to lose everything, forgetting that no matter the situation, an African man would always want to command respect from his wife.”

He added that most of them are so arrogant that they can’t even listen to simple corrections on set. “I have had cause to walk some of them off  my set for insubordination. Most of them cannot manage stardom and it is a big problem. They always forget that nothing lasts for ever. If you are the best actress today, someone must surely take the baton from you tomorrow. So whatever you manage to achieve within your active reign is what you will live to remember. No matter her fame or achievements, a woman without a husband cannot be regarded as a successful person.”
Having played roles where they teach viewers many lessons about marriage and relationships, one would simply imagine that these actresses have one of the best homes or relationships, but the reverse is obviously the case.
The list of Nollywood actresses facing marital challenges seems to be endless. While some have tasted broken marriages, others have continued over the years to be eligible spinsters, and it has become an issue of growing concern. Many of the marriages break up on grounds of infidelity and battery.

Chika Ike: Lost her marriage to infidelity and assault
Chika Ike, one of the most beautiful Nigerian actresses, got married to Tony Eberiri in 2006, but a few years later, the union hit the rocks following allegations ranging from infidelity to assault.

The actress, who filed for divorce, said in an interview: “I have a lot of friends who would have left their marriages but because of the African society, their in-laws, what people will say or other factors, they stay. We’ve heard a lot of deaths caused by bad marriages and before the death, there would have been signs, things would have been happening leading up to that. I think it has to do with age and many other things like compatibility and not being true to yourself in the marriage. Everybody has a limit. There are some things in marriage that you might not be able to stand. Some people’s limit might not be my limit. My limit might be somebody’s starting point.”

One of the most shocking was that of Fathia and Saheed Balogun. The much celebrated union hit the rocks over  multiple allegations of infidelity, and efforts by influential personalities in the country to settle their differences fell on deaf ears.

Eucharia Anunobi: Quited over constant battery
Actress Eucharia Anunobi, who is now a pastor, called it quits with Charles Ekwu, the father of her son, Joshua, a few years after they got married. Eucharia cited constant battery by Charles as the reason she pulled out of the union. But it was actually Charles that first walked out of the relationship. He actually abandoned the actress and her son.

At the tender age of 15, Shan George got married and after bearing two kids, she walked out of the marriage at 21, alleging that her husband couldn’t send her to school but rather turned her into a punching bag. After she graduated from the University of Lagos at the age of 29, she has tried to get married on two occasions but all to no avail.

Clarion Chukwurah is no doubt one of the most talented actresses in Nigeria. She had been married twice; first to the brother of the late Bashorun M.K.O. Abiola and later to the Oduneyes, but at the moment, she is a single mother.

Popular actress, Ayo Adesanya moved out of her matrimonial home over alleged battery by her hubby, Goriola Hassan, who later blamed Ayo’s unfaithfulness for his actions. The hitherto rosy relationship hit the rocks amid controversy.

Frequent crisis, irreconcilable differences and incompatibility wrecked the four-year old marriage of actress Foluke Daramola to ex-hubby, Mr. Adebowale, though she is now married to Kayode Salako.

Ibinabo
Ibinabo Fibresima, the National President of the Actors’ Guild of Nigeria, AGN, is among female entertainers with failed marriages. The Okrika, Rivers State-born actress has experienced two failed marriages that produced two children.

Monalisa
Actress Monalisa Chinda accused her ex-husband, Dejo Richards, of battery and she moved out of her matrimonial home. The union was blessed with a daughter. The list of the industry’s personalities with failed marriages include Bimbo Oshin, Doris Simeon, Kate Henshaw, Moji Olaiya, Fred Aseroma, Emem Isong and Peace Anyiam Osigwe to mention a few.

Sultry actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde is one of the few lucky actresses that have enjoyed a good marital life. In an interview, she identified the inability of her colleagues to “draw the lines between their profession and family” as the reason behind many failed marriages.

According to Omotola, an average African man will not compromise the level of respect he gets from his spouse, and as a result, the woman, irrespective of her status or class, must give due respect and time to her family.

The multiple award-winning actress cited that for instance, “when you see me outside, I’m Omo Sexy, the movie star. But at home, I’m the humble and obedient wife and mother. The moment you fail to realise this, there is likely to be a problem in your relationship.”

Okorocha

The Imo State Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere has declared that the state governor, Rochas Okorocha will contest and win the presidential election as the calculations for the 2015 presidential election continue to gather strength.

He further said the implication is that Governor Okorocha will not seek a second term in office as governor of Imo State. This is because; he cannot contest both the office of the president and the governor at the same time.

Okorocha has been at loggerheads with some political stakeholders in the state over whether he would seek a second term in office, as they claimed that he had an agreement with the stakeholders not to seek re-election.

APC leaders annoyed with Buhari over State of Emergency

apc logoThe Leaders of the yet to be registered opposition alliance party, All Progressives Congress (APC) have expressed anger at the statements credited to former Head of State, General Muhammadu Buhari, which indicated that the declaration of a state of emergency in three states of the North was anti-North.

Buhari had been quoted as saying in a programme on a Kaduna-based FM station that the declaration of a state of emergency in the three states of the North was anti-North and that he does not support President Goodluck Jonathan’s tactics on dealing with insurgency.

He also claimed that the government was being high-handed on the insurgents operating in parts of Northern Nigeria, adding that when militancy happened in the South South, the Federal Government invited the perpetrators and granted them amnesty.

But leaders of the mega party, who have dissected Buhari’s statements were said to have expressed surprise at the claims by the former Head of state.
One of the leaders said that such a statement would only further alienate members of the emerging mega party, the APC from Buhari.

“Already, many people are saying that Buhari should not be used as the candidate of the party in the 2015 election, such a statement is capable of portraying him (Buhari) as someone who does not believe in the unity of Nigeria and it could negatively impact on the party.

“What we expect from Buhari are statements that would portray him as a statesman, not as a sectional leader. He as a former Head of State should be talking for Nigeria and not for a part thereof. Anything to the contrary will open him to undue scrutiny,” the source said.
Leaders of the APC were said to have criticized Buhari’s comments as off the mark.
A source said that the development has reinforced the resolve of the APC to field a younger presidential candidate in 2015 adding that when the time comes, Buhari would be told to hands off the presidential race.

5 Things To Do If Your Man Hasn’t Proposed

He could be waiting to get a better job, he could be saving for the ring or he could just be waiting until he’s a little older—none of this means he doesn’t want to marry you.

Waiting to get engaged but still no ring in sight? Don’t fret just yet.
Are you waiting for your man to propose and not sure when he’s going to do it? Don’t fret; here are five steps that will help to put your worried mind at ease.

1. Figure out if you’re looking for a proposal or just validation. Write down three reasons you want him to propose. If you find yourself thinking that a proposal will show that he really loves you, or you’re worried that if he doesn’t propose he might break up with you, you may not be ready to get married. If your partnership is strong, you’ll know that he loves and is committed to you, and you won’t need an offer of marriage to tell you that.

2. Wait as long as you can. Especially if you’re in your 20s. He could be waiting to get a better job, he could be saving for the ring or he could just be waiting until he’s a little older—none of this means he doesn’t want to marry you. And keep in mind that the longer you wait the stronger your relationship will be.

3. If you want kids and you’re worried about your fertility, tell him. If you having kids is more important to you than your relationship, make sure he knows how you feel—but be careful about giving him an explicit ultimatum, which could come across as manipulative. For a softer approach, here are some things you can say. Before you do, make sure you’re in a setting where he can be receptive; it’s harder to have a successful conversation if one person is distracted.

“I love you, and I want you to be the father of my children. The thing is I’ve been doing some research, and it looks like my chances of having a healthy pregnancy go way down if I wait another year or two. Can we talk about this?”
“I’m feeling really nervous about telling you something, but it’s so important to me that I feel like I have to just say it, so here goes. I want to have kids with you, and I’m worried that if we don’t get married soon it could be too late for us. I love you, and I want this to work for us.”
“I’m not saying this to make you feel boxed in, although I know that just saying it puts pressure on you. I don’t want you to feel like I’m pushing you, I just want you to know what I’ve been thinking about.”

4. Talk to a professional. If you’re having trouble sleeping, are feeling overly anxious, or worrying about the proposal and marriage is interfering with your life, you might want to talk to a life coach or a therapist. Many problems can be resolved in just a few sessions, and if you have a more serious condition a professional can help you identify it.

5. Can’t wait? Ask him yourself! Sure, it’s uncommon, but that certainly doesn’t mean you can’t or shouldn’t do it.

Female Isreali Soldiers Disciplined After Posting Naked Photos On Facebook

The Israeli military disciplined a group of female soldiers who posed for photos in underwear and combat gear and posted the images on Facebook.

0306_idf_walla

The incident was the latest in a string of episodes involving young Israeli soldiers on social media that have drawn reprimand from the military.
The women were new recruits stationed on a base in southern Israel.

The soldiers removed their pecked uniforms to expose their underwear and back sides. Another photo shows five women posed in what appeared to be a barracks room, dressed only in helmets and a small amount of combat equipment.

PHOTOS: Female Soldiers Disciplined After Posting Bawdy Photos

The faces of the soldiers were blurred in the photos. In a statement, the military said the young women had acted in a manner that showed “unbecoming behavior” for Israeli soldiers.
“The commanding officers disciplined the soldiers as they saw fitting,” it said.
The statement did not identify the soldiers or give any details about the punishments. Military officials said the base conducted educational lectures to keep soldiers from repeating the offense.

PHOTOS: Female Soldiers Disciplined After Posting Bawdy Photos

Several times in recent years, the Israeli military has disciplined soldiers for what were considered improper postings in social media sites.
In a video posted to YouTube in 2010, a male Israeli soldier was filmed dancing suggestively around a blindfolded Palestinian woman. That incident followed the discovery of photos earlier that year showing a female soldier posing in front of Palestinian prisoners.

Shortly thereafter, the Israeli military banned soldiers from using social media sites while on base. The ban was an effort to prevent future embarrassing posts on social media. It remains unclear whether the ban is in effect.
Early this year, another soldier was reprimanded for writing anti-Palestinian tweets and posting pictures to multiple social media services showing himself unclad with a gun.

Produce Boko Haram leader Shekau and Get $7million bounty - US Govt

AddAbubakar Shekau, Boko Haram leader
The United States has officially declared the leader of the extremist Boko Haram sect, Abubakar Shekau, wanted and placed a $7m bounty on his head.
In an announcement Monday, the U.S. Department of Justice Reward for Justice Programme says it would pay $7million to anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the Boko Haram leader.

Also declared wanted are four other alleged terrorists believed to be spreading terrorism in the West African sub-region.
They include Mokhtar Belmokhtar, described as a one-eyed mastermind of the January deadly attack on a gas plant in Algeria, which left 37 foreigners dead. Authorities say anyone who could help facilitate his capture stands a chance of reaping $5.

A $5million bounty was also placed on Yahya Abou Al-Hammam an alleged terrorist believed to be behind the 2010 murder of an elderly French hostage in Niger.
Also being sought are Malik Abou Abdelkarim, described as a senior AQIM fighter and Oumar Ould Hamaha, spokesman for Mali’s Movement for Oneness and Jihad in West Africa (MUJAO). America says it will pay $3 million each to anyone who could help facilitate their arrests.

The U.S. had on June 21, 2012, designated Mr. Shekau, the Boko Haram leader, a Specially Designated Global Terrorist, under Executive Order 13224.
Mr. Shekau’s whereabouts have however remained unknown.
Last week, he released a video calling on other terrorists in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iraq to support the struggle to enthrone an Islamic state in Nigeria.
Below is a full text of the release declaring Mr. Shekau wanted.

Abubakar Shekau is the leader of Jama’atu Ahl as-Sunnah il-Da’awati wal-Jihad, more commonly known as Boko Haram. Boko Haram, which means “Western education is forbidden,” is a Nigeria-based terrorist organization that seeks to overthrow the current Nigerian government and replace it with a regime based on Islamic law. The group has existed in various forms since the late 1990s. There are reported communications, training, and weapons links between Boko Haram, al-Qaida in the Lands of the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM), al-Shabaab, and al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula, which may strengthen Boko Haram’s capacity to conduct terrorist attacks.
Shekau was previously the group’s second-in-command. In July 2010, Shekau publicly claimed leadership of Boko Haram and threatened to attack Western interests in Nigeria. Later that month, Shekau issued a second statement expressing solidarity with al-Qaida and threatening the United States. Under Shekau’s leadership, Boko Haram’s operational capabilities have grown.
The group set off its first vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (IED) in June 2011, and has increasingly utilized IEDs in attacks against soft targets. Boko Haram’s August 26, 2011 vehicle-bomb attack on the United Nations headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria marked the group’s first lethal operation against Western interests. At least 23 people were killed, and 80 more were injured, in the attack. A purported Boko Haram spokesman claimed responsibility for the attack and promised future targeting of U.S. and Nigerian government interests.
On May 1, 2012, less than one week after the group bombed a Nigerian newspaper building in Abuja, Boko Haram issued a video statement threatening more attacks on local and international news outlets, including the Voice of America and Sahara Reporters, a New York-based media service.
On June 21, 2012, the U.S. Department of State designated Shekau a Specially Designated Global Terrorist under Executive Order 13224.

Aliko Dangote Now Among World’s Richest 25; First African To Hit $20 Billion

Aliko-Dangote-Forbes-ARenowned international journal, Forbes, says Nigerian billionaire and Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote has become the first African entrepreneur to lay claim to a $20 billion fortune as the stock value of his largest holding, Dangote Cement, leaped just three months after it released its annual ranking of the world’s richest people.

Aliko Dangote’s 93% stake in the cement company is now worth $19.5 billion. This in addition to his controlling stakes in other publicly-listed companies like Dangote Sugar and National Salt Company of Nigeria and his significant shareholdings in other blue-chips like Zenith Bank, UBA Group and Dangote Flour; his extensive real estate portfolio, jets, yachts and current cash position, which includes more than $300 million in recently awarded Dangote Cement dividends, Dangote is now worth more than $20 billion.

He is now among the top 25 richest people in the world, richer than Russia’s richest man, Alisher Usmanov, richer than India’s Lakshmi Mittal and running neck and neck with India’s Mukesh Ambani. He is catching up to such Americans as Google’s billionaire founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin.
The unprecedented surge in Dangote Cement’s share price is largely a market response to the company’s impressive 2013 Q1 results.

The cement manufacturer’s unaudited results for the three months, ending on March 31 showed that the company’s pre-tax profit rose to $339 million, representing an 80.6% increase from last year and a strong indicator of the company’s future earning potential. The results also indicate a 79.5% rise in its earnings per share over the corresponding period last year.
Explaining the company’s share price boost, Carl Franklin, Dangote Cement’s Head of Investor Relations in the U.K said that in the first quarter of 2013, the company had a huge increase in demand across Nigeria, gas supply improved considerably and the capacity was much more ramped up.
“So Q1 was the first sign of just how profitable we can be in Nigeria. The amazing thing is that 66% of our gas-fired production in Q1 was done at 84% gas. Imagine what would happen to margins if we did the same amount at 95%. This has given investors a good sense of what we can really do when everything goes in the right direction,” Franklin said.
With a current market cap of $20.5 billion, Dangote Cement becomes the first Nigerian company to achieve a market capitalization of over $20 billion.

“It’s certainly a landmark for a Nigerian company and we’re proud to be the first to achieve it. Obviously, we are focusing on building long-term and sustainable value for shareholders through our investments in Nigeria and Africa. Nigeria is a very entrepreneurial country and I can assure you that other companies will follow us in achieving this.”

Other companies might eventually achieve this, but it’s going to take a bit of time. Dangote Cement currently accounts for more than a quarter of the total market capitalization of the Nigerian Stock Exchange. The second largest company on the Nigerian Stock Exchange,NSE, is currently Nigerian Breweries, West Africa’s largest manufacturer of Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The company has a market cap of $8.5 billion.

Dangote debuted on the FORBES billionaires list in 2008 with a fortune we pegged at $3.3 billion. His fortune dropped to $2.5 billion in 2009 and plunged further to $2.1 billion in 2010. His fortune surged 557% in 2011 to $13.8 billion after he took Dangote Cement public. He dropped to $11.2 billion in last year’s rankings, but rebounded at $16.1 billion this year. Since March, his fortune has jumped another 30%.

Dangote was destined to shine in business. At age 8, he apparently gave packets of sweets he had made to the house servants to sell for him. His father Mohammed Dangote was a successful businessman and an associate of his maternal uncle Alhaji Sanusi Dantata. Dantata and his brother controlled the trade in kola nuts and livestock conducted by 200 agents. Dangote started building his fortune over three decades ago after taking a loan from Sanusi Dantata. He started trading in commodities like flour, sugar and cement.

He became a billionaire by later manufacturing these items. He started making pasta, salt, sugar and flour in 1997. But he found his gold mine in cement, when he was awarded a government’s state owned cement business in 2000 and began building his own plant in 2003. He listed Dangote Cement in 2010.

Today, it is Africa’s largest cement company providing cement to Nigeria and other African countries that otherwise would likely have to pay to import much of the materials.
Dangote still has bigger ambitions. He told Forbes Wealth Editor Luisa Kroll at Davos in 2011 that he expected his firm to have a market cap of $60 billion within five years

Girls, these are the things NOT to tell your mom about your relationship

mum
Don’t call up your mom right after fighting with your guy. You will most likely blow things out of proportion simply because you want some sympathy at that moment…….
If you have a close, communicative, tell-each-other-everything relationship with your mom, that’s great (and rare). But, like it or not, your mom does come from a different generation. She may have been a teenager when the condom was just being popularized. She may have come from a generation in which women never asked the man out. She may have been a virgin until she was married. Even if she was none of these extremes, there are certain things that always worry a mom when she hears them about her daughter. So don’t tell her about any of these:

Curable STD’s
You try to be safe. You use condoms 98% of the time. And, in a day and age when many women have multiple sexual partners in a month, you deserve a gold star! But…uh oh…you contracted a curable STD from one of those 2% moments. Your mom probably didn’t have sex nearly as much as you are, so if you tell her about it, she is going to interpret it as “my daughter is so unsafe about sex!” When in reality, you’re pretty responsible. Not to mention there are plenty of STD’s that can be contracted even if you do use a condom. Instead of trying to use the awkward save of “but Mom, I used a condom with the other three guys I slept with this month!” — just go get your meds, clear it up, and don’t bring it up.

Fights that just happened
You know you’re always more upset when a fight has just happened. This applies to all types of relationships. You might say things like “That is it. I am leaving him” when in reality, you’re over it within a day. Don’t call up your mom right after fighting with your guy. You will most likely blow things out of proportion simply because you want some sympathy at that moment, but your mom is going to think your relationship has more problems than it really does.

His acceptable flaws
He is always late. He is socially awkward. He isn’t making enough money. Whatever it may be, these flaws mean different things to different people. They may not make the slightest difference in the way you feel about him, and that’s all that matters—the way you feel about him. But to an outsider, these flaws may seem like deal breakers. If they don’t really bother you, don’t bring them up — especially not to Mom.

His single life
Everyone is a little wilder when single. Almost everyone. You don’t need to tell your mom crazy stories of your boyfriend’s life from when he was single. She doesn’t need to know what a huge player he was. Or how many raves he used to go to. He doesn’t do those things now.  You know he has changed. But your mom might think he hasn’t and judge him unfairly.

Who pays
Your mom might have come from a time when the man always paid—non-negotiable. But your guy might be going through some tough financial times. You know he will pull through, you know he is not using you, and you are just happy to spend time with him no matter who is footing the bill. And you know what? You might just hold the opinion that the two of you should split expenses. And that’s fine. It just might not be with your mom.

Anything at all about a new guy
Women did not date as much 2 to 4 decades ago as we do today. They just didn’t. So, for many moms, when they hear their daughter so much as mention the existence of a guy in her life, they think it’s serious. Even if you just had an amazing third date with a guy, don’t rush to call your mom and gloat about it. The fact that you made that call to her will lead her to call you every week to see how it’s going with that one guy. When, little does she know, you’re dating three guys. It might take you more time to find Mr. Right than it took her to find your dad. She won’t get that, and will try to make every potential husband “the one.” Spare yourself and your mom the stress by keeping secrets like these to yourself.

Fights that happen continuously
If there is an issue that you and your man constantly fight about, your mom doesn’t need to hear about it for two reasons: 1) it’s annoying in general to listen to anyone complain about the same thing over and over again, and 2) if you and your guy are fighting continuously about the same thing, and your mom knows that, she is going to think you should end things! So if it’s an issue you’ve decided to live with, don’t bring it up and just live with it.

Pathetic!!! Quest For Perfect Buttocks Leaves Her With No Limbs

She was obsessed with having perfect bum and she was prepared to do anything for that.
But former hairstylist Apryl Michelle Brown's dream backfired.

The 46-year-old mother of two from Los Angeles had to undergo a quadruple limb and buttock amputation. She has now come forward to warn other women against black market silicone injections.
Speaking to British TV channel ITV's This Morning programme from Los Angeles, Ms Brown recounted how she spent five years in excruciating pain when an unlicensed practitioner injected her buttocks with bathroom sealant, telling her it was silicone, in order to enhance them.
Doctors had no idea how to treat the botched implants and told her she might have to live with the agony.

But when they finally operated, they found so much damage that she was put into an induced coma.
It was only when she woke up two months later that she discovered what medical workers had done to keep her alive.
She said her life changed after a woman visited her hair salon a few years ago, saying that she had silicone injections.

Said Ms Brown: "I hadn't done any other research, so I didn't know all the horror stories.
"I went to someone's home - she wasn't licensed, but I didn't know that then - and lay on her daughter's bed, wearing special panties.

"She told me I'd need four sets of injections, and when she started to do them, it was very painful. I could feel it going into my nerves and muscles."
The pain did subside and she returned for a second lot of injections. It was when she left the house the second time that she had "an epiphany".
"I thought, what are you doing? And that was a sign to stop," Ms Brown said.

Soon, things began to go dramatically wrong. The area around the injections became incredibly painful. She described it as "like a toothache, labour pain and a migraine".

Ms Brown, who has daughters Danye, 22 and Courtney, 21, told The Sun: "Within a few months of the second injection, my buttocks began to harden.
"But shame stopped me seeking medical help. As time went on, it got worse as the skin blackened. I developed hard lumps.

"Then the searing pain started. I had to tell my doctor what I did."
She spent the next four years in constant pain. In February 2011, a surgeon operated unsuccessfully.
Ms Brown developed a hole in her buttocks - thought to be the trigger for an infection that was nearly fatal.

Doctors put her into an induced coma for two months while performing 27 operations - starting with amputating her buttocks - and doing extensive skin grafts.
She said: "They saved me, but gangrene set into my hands and feet. I was brought out of sedation shortly before I became a quadruple amputee."
She spent the next six months in hospital. After she was discharged, she said she was determined to turn her life around.

She said: "I decided to do a triathlon. I took my first steps again by the end of 2011. I built up to training six days a week, learning to walk, cycle then swim again, using my residual limbs. I'd be crying in pain, but I'd push through it.

"And six weeks ago I did it - completing a 4km walk, 16km cycling and a 150m swim. When I crossed that finishing line with my family cheering me on, I cried tears of joy."
Ms Brown said she didn't seek compensation because she wanted to move on.
"But I believe I survived to share my story. I want to warn others of the dangers of black market operations. We were born whole, perfect and complete."
