APC Merger In Jeopardy, As CPC Declares Regristration Certificate Missing

The APC merger is facing a new dimension of trouble as the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) has written to the Nigeria Police Force complaining over the theft of its original party registration certificate issued by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The letter of complaint was said to have been written by the National Secretary of the party, Engr. Buba Galidima to the Utako police station in the Federal Capital (FCT).

Confirming the move by the party's leadership Tuesday, the National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Rotimi Fashakin told our reporter in a telephone interview that the party took the step to report the enstranged pioneer national chairman, Senator Rufai Hanga to the police for illegally withholding the certificate.

“Yes, the party has reported to the police over its missing certificate of registration which the former chairman, Senator Hanga has been keeping illegally since he was eased out of office,” he said.
One of the critical elements in the on-going political party merger processes, which the oppositon coalition is embarking on, is the requirement that each of the parties should be ready to submit back to INEC its original certificate of registration.

However, our reporter gathered that as part of measures to ensure that the opposition merger does not suffer any set-back, the CPC leaders decided to seek the assistance of the police to help retrieve the party's certificate said to be “missing” from their archives.
It was learnt that Galadima had requested the police to give the party a covering note, which would enable it apply for a certified true copy from INEC.

But contrary to Galadima’s position, the aggrieved faction of the party led by Hanga said the original registration certificate had always been in their possession since the inception of the party

The spokesman of the Hanga-led faction, Chief Dennis Ahganya told our reporter that the group was in rightful custody of the certificate since they have a pending court action challenging the authenticity of the Prince Tony Momoh-led national executive of the CPC.

“This is criminality as a result of desperation, even when it was deposed to in all our affidavits that the original certificate is with us and the copy is attached. INEC is not stupid to fall for such gimmicks,” he said.

Aghanya recalled that Fashakin had in one of his recent press statements claimed that the original certificate was with the national leader of the party, Major-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari and wondered how the certificate suddenly went missing from their archives.

“We are still waiting to see how many more lies they will tell to cover up all their lies. We are not against the merger, although we were not carried along by those championing the cause.

“But we are determined to claim our party and ensure that it is well repositioned for all subsequent elections, including the Anambra State governorship election in September 2013,” he said.

Aghanya said his group also intends to visit the National Assembly leadership to plead with them and remind them of the damage they are doing to the image of the country’s democracy by not readmitting the CPC parliamentary members from Katsina State who were returned by the court.

Is Genevieve Nnaji Begging D'banj To Take Her Back?

Genevieve and D'banj

Recently, the Kokomaster, D'banj, made a public confession that he's still single and looking for a good woman to make his wife. Since then, "Busy body" reliably gathered that actress Genevieve Nnaji has been making frantic efforts to get back into the arms of the super star.A source, who is an insider in D'banj's camp, said Genevieve and D'banj never really had a quarrel but that she was complaining too much because of the many ladies around him. D'banj, he said, got tired of her drama and simply ignored her. Now she wants to come back by all means..

Genny just clocked 34 and its obvious she can't just settle with any guy from the street corner; her man has to be someone with some level of class. I hear she made contacts with D'banj at least three times in the last days of April but D'banj is still having some reservations.

One of his concerns, the source told Olufamous, is that Genny is too nosy and always wants to know everything going on. D'banj is the cool type who doesn't like talking too much so he's kind of having a hard time accepting her back, even though he sure needs a woman now.

There is also the issue of age difference; D'banj will be 33 in June but Genevieve is already 34. She is said to playing the card of 'age is just a number' but D'banj is still taking his time, as the handsome groom.

He said the people stood behind him in 2011 when the powerful forces in the state polity opposed it,  and stressed that the mandate represent freedom from the oppression of the past.
He said the Freedom Day became possible because, “When the great and mighty said no you stood behind me; by this singular gesture power has returned to the people,” he added.

Tanko Al-Makura of Nasarawa State said the performance of Governor Okorocha,“Was just the beginning of what the people will witness in terms of development, and noted that it was worth celebrating..

Governor Fayemi Kayode of Ekiti State, observed that  God gave them the victory originally throughthe people, adding that “a time like this calls for visionary leaders as seen in all the states where the APC are holding sway.” No amount of intimidation will deter us from working together to salvage the country, he added.

Comrade Adams Oshiomole of Edo State said when he led a protest of workers to the state as a labour leader he met a state with filthy streets dilapidated infrastructure but now everything in Imo State has changed. He said that was an example of how Nigeria will look like in every area of national life when APC becomes the ruling party.

P-Square’s Paul Okoye Abandons His Second Baby Mama In London Hospital

Just few weeks ago that a woman, Anita gave birth to a baby boy at Atlanta, Georgia, USA, for Paul Okoye, one half of the twin hip hop sensational singers, Psquare, it has been revealed that another lady recently gave birth to a bouncing baby boy in a London hospital for the musician.

It was however gathered that both mother and child have been abandon by the singer in the hospital.
According to information gathered from a reliable source, the 19-year old mother of the child, Elshama Benson Igbanoi, gave birth to the boy at the Queen Charlotte and Chelsea Hospital on Du Cane Road, London W12 0HS, but it was revealed that Paul has refused to claim paternal responsibility for the baby boy.

DailyPost gathered that Paul is making plans of travelling down to London to conduct a DNA test to ascertain paternity of the baby boy.

However, Elshama’s father, Mr. Benson Igbanoi stated that his daughter was faithful to the musician.

The baby mama, Elshama also insisted that she has never slept with any other man except Paul, emphasising that she lost her virginity to Paul Okoye when she was 17 years old.

“The hospital has been harassing both Elshama and her mother to pay the hospital bills of over £5,000 that have been incurred,” said one source.

Nigeria Military Jet Crashes In Niger Republic, Two Killed

A Nigerian Air Force warplane crashed in Niger on Monday, and two of its pilots were killed. The aircraft was conducting a military operations in neighbouring Mali, and the two pilots were killed, Nigeria's army said in a statement.

The fighter jet was part of Nigeria's air fleet engaged with an African force battling hardline Islamists in Mali. An army source in Niamey said it had suffered a "mechanical" problem.

"A Nigerian Air Force Alpha jet aircraft on a non-combattant mission crashed today at Dargol village...The two pilots on board the fighter jet died," the Nigerian defence headquarters said in a statement.
The jet is one of four Nigerian aircraft based in Niamey as part of of the Africa-led International Support Mission to Mali (AFISMA), it said, adding that the crash was being investigated.

French and Chadian planes and US drones have used the Niamey airport as a base for their operations in Mali.

The 6,000-strong AFISMA has taken over the lead from France in supporting Mali's army in the battle against Al-Qaeda-linked extremists.

A French-led operation launched in January drove the Islamists from key cities they had seized in northern Mali. But the Islamists have turned to suicide bombings and guerrilla attacks in reclaimed territory.

AFISMA will eventually be incorporated into a 12,600-strong peacekeeping force, following a UN resolution in April
